The prayer that God answers instantly.

It was friday morning when I finished my devotions
I prayed to God saying , I give myself fully to you, use me as you wish. After that prayer i was getting ready to go to town to repair my sandals because few days after sabbath, I was to head Dar es salaam ( home) after spending more than 6 weeks doing evangelism ( 3 weeks of evangelist campaign in Nzega, Tabora, Tanzania). I missed home.  I was offered hot water for shower, I couldn't say no, the weather was abit chilly because of the rainy season. It was not normal to be given that offer but I happily took it. After getting ready, the main preacher of the ended campaign told me, he was going to a nearby village to greet the people there because he once conducted a campaign few months before and  t since i knew the people there i said i will accompany him. So we left with the motorcycle. When we arrived, one of the evangelist insisted I should remain and preach in divine service on sabbath and help out in stewardship week I hesitated because i was planning to go home on monday but i remembered the prayer that  i prayed to God in the morning that He should use me as He pleases so I remained in the village, that Friday, we went to visit people and did some bible studies and they accepted Christ and they were ready to be baptized on sabbath. It was really God who sent us to that village. The main preacher went back to town and i remained. On sabbath morning I was so nervous because i was preaching for the first time in divine service and in swahili but also I had such a short time to prepare for the sermon. ""Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth,Jeremiah 1:9"". God was truly faithful on that promise, through His HolySpirit, the message was clear and understood and according to the feedbacks from the church members, they were blessed by the sermon. Praise be to God I thank God for such opportunity. During the week, we have started bible studies with one family, so far, they are accepting the messages. God is amazing. I don't regret staying back and the prayer, " God use me as you wish" is a wonderful prayer and God answers it instantly.

 " All heaven is in activity, and the angels of God are waiting to cooperate with the human agent who will devise plans whereby souls for whom Christ died may hear the glad tidings of salvation. {PH007 13.1}

" God will not leave you to work alone. Ever since the proclamation of the third angel’s message, angels of God have been waiting to cooperate with the human agent who is in earnest and determined to work. We must go deeper into the mines of truth than we have done. – {TM 123.2}"

"It was the Saviour’s purpose that after He ascended to heaven to become man’s intercessor, His followers should carry on the work that He had begun. Shall the human agent show no special interest in giving the light of the gospel message to those who sit in darkness? There are some who are willing to go to the ends of the earth in order to carry the light of truth to men, but God demands that every soul who knows the truth shall seek to win others to the love of the truth. If we are not willing to make special sacrifices in order to save souls that are ready to perish, how can we be counted worthy to enter into the city of God?—Testimonies for the Church 9:103. – {ChS 8.1}"

We have wonderful promises from God that, He will not leave us work alone, we will have angels accompanying us to do  his work.Lets be God's worker and cooperate with Him and finish His work. Amen.

Test me if I wont open the windows of Heaven.

This is one of the most familiar verses in our adventist church, usually read during divine service in offertory bible text

Mal 3:10. "Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need."

This never sinked in my head until one sabbath morning on 5th September 2015 at Ushindi Sda church. I had 1150 tsh/=  in my purse and when it came that time to give tithes & offering I wanted to give 150 tsh/= then save 1000 tsh/= for transport back home. Even 1000 tsh/= wasn't enough to get home. I would have to walk roughly 30 minutes or add another 1000 tsh /= for bodaboda ( motorcycle) transport to home.
Then the holy spirit spoke to me saying, I should give out 1000 tsh/= then I said in my heart, no i cant do that, how will get home. Then i took out of my purse 150 tsh/= to give it as an offering to God saying thats all I have.
The Holy spirit said no, then i decided  not to give any offering at all. The Lord didn't give up on my stubborn heart. He said, test me if I wouldn't open windows of heaven . I found myself  giving an offering for 1000/= then leave the rest of worries to him.
When divine service was over, I had no money to go home, I remembered this promise in 1Pe 5:7  "casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." I left everything in His hands.

I was invited for lunch with my friend and after lunch, she gave me 2000 tsh/=. I asked her why did you give me the money, she said, She felt like giving me that money. Praise the Lord. God doubled the money I gave to him. I was happy because i knew I had enough fare to go home. He didn't not end there, another friend whom we haven't seen each other for 6 yrs, came to worship at my church and offered a lift till home at the end of the service. I couldn't take it anymore on His goodness. God is too good.
I tested him and He did open windows of heaven and pour out blessings, that were more than enough.

Sometimes when you are faced with difficulties, the promises seems to be too good to be true but keep trusting God always and believe and claim His promises. He will surely fulfill what He promised because God is not human that He should lie or regret." Num 23:19  God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?"

Trust God and He will open windows of Heaven of blessings for you.
God bless you.

God protect His Children.

Friday, A day of preparation for the sabbath. As I was finalizing the preparations, I received a text at 4 pm that, I am requested to go to the local Adventist radio station to participate in  discussion for sabbath school lesson quartely program in English language  and i need to be there before 5 pm to discuss briefly how the discusiion will be run. The radio station is about an hour by public transport from where I live. It seemed impossible to arrive on time for the program. I usually take a motorcycle to the bus stop then take a two bus so i came out out the house, then i saw a motorcycle, i asked him to drop me at the bus stop. He asked me where I was going, I told him to a radio station. He suggested he would drive me to the radio station with a discount price. I hesitated because it is very dangerous to be in the motorcycle for a long distance in a road full of cars and lories. Tens of people have died because of motorcycle accidents. Time was far gone to take a bus to the radio station i would be late if i was to take a bus so I prayed about it and remembered God's promise of sending His angels to protect his children ( Psalms 91:11, For He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways ESV).
We started the journey to the radio station. After 20 minutes  we arrived at the radio station safely and on time. Praise God. The program was really a blessing, studying and sharing the word of God. The program was over and the sabbath had began. It was already dark and during night time public transport becomes a problem. As I was thinking how to get home, one of the people who was there at the sabbath school program offered me a lift along with other people who asked for a lift. I reached home safely. Praise God for His protection .God does fulfill all His promises. You and I need to know them by reading our bibles everyday and claim them. God bless you.

Outreach in Bagamoyo

A bright Monday, God allowed me to see this day. As I was contemplating what to do through out the day, The Holy Spirit spoke to me that I should do outreach in Bagamoyo. Bagamoyo is a historical city and majority of the people are muslims. I prepared booklets to give out and searched where I would begin to do outreach. I started from the museum where they were alot of people there then made my way to town centre by foot as a great way of reaching out to people in the street and exploring more of the city. I  had a privelege to meet two beautiful French ladies and We had a chat and left them with a glow tracts. It is a comfort that people are willing to receive literature. God be praised. Let it be our prayer that, literature given will be read and people will come to know Jesus Christ our saviour and His soon coming.

Reflection from the museum: In the Museum I saw the chains that was used by the slave traders to chain the slaves, I would imagine how they felt when the slaves would be chained and controlled by their traders and no control of themselves. it must have been really awful and dreadful. Once upon a time, we were slave to sin when our first parents sinned when they ate of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil ( Gen 2:17) but God loves us so much that He sent His only son to die to us and free us from bondange of sin.

Romans 6:16-22New International Version (NIV)

16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
19 I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.

Praise be to God for setting us free from sin and let us be slave to righteousness which would result eternal life with our loving God in heaven. Amen.

God bless you & thank you for taking your time to read this article.

The Lord's hand

When I was in second year in Coventry University. In april 2013, the university released exam timetable for end of year exam. To my surprise  i had  one exam on sabbath. I felt so nervous and i didnt know what to do. I went to present my prayer request to the prayer youth meeting in my local church in coventry. We prayed together and me and my friend Chantal went to university faculty. We made a request to change the date of the exam. Few days later we received an answer from the university declining our request because we were to fill up a religious form in January so as they may not place exams on sabbath but it was not made known that such form was available in the university. We went back to the prayer meeting and prayed more that God may solve the situation. I received a letter from my local church Pastor Lambert for more support. Me and Chantal went to meet with the head of my department of civil engineering. He told us of the options to choose from; one is to go to the exam room and  write my name then leave that option may entitle me to resit an exam. I replied to him saying, If i go the exam room on sabbath it means i am still breaking the sabbath commandment so he presented another option that was to repeat the whole subject for the following year and pay for that particular subject £2300. I could not afford to pay it because my parents couldn't understand me when i could tell them that I can not do an exam on sabbath because they are not sabbath keepers and they would like me to associate myself with SDA faith thats another story to tell. I wont be able to choose any of the options I told the head of department. He suggested that i should appeal again. I did so. After few days. I received an email from the university  that I can do the exam when others will be resetting for  that same exam few months later and i don't have to do anything for be eligible for that. I praise God for He stood up for me when I stood up for him. I thank God for the answered prayers from my local church in coventry and my supportive friends Chantal, Patricia and many others. I  urge to the students who are in the university, school or even workers  to put God first no matter the situation and He will always provide a way for each temptation or difficult circumstances (1 Corinthians 10:12-13.) Finally brethren; Be strong in the Lord.

A miracle day.

What a sabbath Morning of the 4th April 2015. The weather was calm, rain had stopped , I woke up not feeling like going to my usual church because Its far and taking a public transport in Dar es Salaam is not too good and the near by church in Mbezi Salasala, were having a choir day and I was tempted to go but the Holy spirit was talking to me that I should go to my usual Church in Mikocheni B. I got ready and when I was ready to go to church and there was a repair man who came to repair our fridge ( P.s My family are not SDA). He was going to the direction where the church was and he was able to give me a lift. The journey was quick and comfortable.
After Sabbath school, the superintendent was asking the church to contribute for next sabbath which will be visitor's day. I prayed to God that i would contribute something small because i knew i didn't have much money and due to public holiday I wont go to work until Wednesday. As item were mentioned that needs to be brought during the week, the superintendent appointed me to bring 15 litres of cooking oil. I was in shock. How  will i get the money to buy 15 litres of cooking oil. I accepted to do bring the money equivalent that's 60,000/= tsh to buy the cooking oil. I prayed God you need to provide that money.  After  divine service, I opened whatsapp messages and I found a message saying, some money has been deposited on my account. Praise be to God for he provides and He is a faithful God. God was testing my faith if I would trust him to provide for his work.
Due to my situation, I don't go back home for lunch but I stay at church. One of the brothers  at church offered some youths to buy lunch on sabbath. It is sin to buy or sell on sabbath day ( Nehemiah 10:31) . I returned the offer. I was hungry and I wanted to go back home early. But the Spirit spoke to me and told me to stay at church for a little longer. The afternoon program was about '' God's will'' a very interesting topic on how God allow things to happen for his glory. A good example would be of Job, when he lost all he had and then later He got everything back or even more things, Satan was permitted by God to test Job's faith ( Job 1:7-12). When we pray, sometimes God doesn't answer our requests because He knows the future and He knows what would happen if we get the request we pray for. Due to the situation I am facing, I have been praying to God to help me and answer my prayers but I would see him answering small prayers like, when I get on a bus going home, I pray to get a seat and God answers such prayers but when I pray for something bigger, He is quite. And from the afternoon program I learnt to fully submit to God's will even though my will might be different. Its is hard to be honest and God is always there for us to help us and guide us.
The afternoon program finished quite late and i was worried how will i get home quicker. God performed another miracle and I was offered a lift back home. Praise be to God. What a blessed sabbath day

A visit to the other side..

Just beyond a non glassy sea of Indian Ocean from Dar es salaam is a beautiful Island called Zanzibar. Zanzibar is one of the best touristic attraction in Tanzania, very historic and more than 99 percent of Zanzibar's population are Muslim. A friend of mine and I planned to go to Zanzibar two days before the journey. The purpose was to evangelize and give out literature. We weren’t sure how much was the fare but as we booked the tickets on the day of travel, we just had the exact fare for the journey but the money for the fare i wanted to use it few days back but God knew I would need it to do His work so He told me not to use it. As we left the booking office I knew God had planned this trip. 'As-salamu alaykum' is a first greeting we heard in our ears as me and my friend Farida boarded a ferry to Zanzibar on a Wednesday Morning of 1st of April 2015. The journey was about one and half hour long. God opened the first opportunity inside the boat. There was a Tanzanian man who sat besides us and as we talked to him and got to know him better we were able to evangelize to him.

Dressed as the native of the island, it gave us a room to be just like them and it gave them comfortability to talk to us. The idea of dressing came from watching a testimony from ‪Esmie Branner "Beyond the Veil of Darkness" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlaXoFqm_nI. ‪A very moving and powerful testimony on how to stay faithful to God and the greatness and the goodness of the God we serve. The first place we entered was the central museum and there was a lot informations about historic events that happened in the past. One of them was how Britain played a big role on abolishing Arab slave trade in the 19th century and helped to fight for independence in 1964.  As I grew up i never knew this and took the freedom i have for granted while our fathers struggled and were enslaved. Relating this to our spiritual lives, when our first parents Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden tree, we became slaves of satan but Jesus came to die for us and to free us from the great deceiver’s bondage (Romans 6:18 : You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness, verse 22; But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life).

We didn’t leave the people in the museum empty handed. We gave them some leaflets that were filled with good news about Jesus and the gospel. As we passed one of the streets, there were men sitting in the corridor, they were observing us from a distance, when we got closer to them, they asked us what we were giving out. We gave them the leaflets and left hastily because it’s wasn’t safe giving out Christian materials in an Islamic area but also dressed like Muslim’s. God being our leader, He guided us from one street to another and one shop to another, giving out literature. Praise be to God. Brethen lets continue to labour with Christ and spread the good news that Jesus is coming very soon. '' Go to all nations, He bade them. Go to the farthest part of the habitable globe and be assured that My presence will be with you even there. Labor in faith and confidence; for the time will never come when I will forsake you. I will be with you always, helping you to perform your duty, guiding, comforting, sanctifying, sustaining you, giving you success in speaking words that shall draw the attention of others to heaven. '' AA 29.1 Lets pray for those who we reached out that The Holy Spirit may trouble their hearts to read the literature and come to know our loving saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
