Outreach in Bagamoyo

A bright Monday, God allowed me to see this day. As I was contemplating what to do through out the day, The Holy Spirit spoke to me that I should do outreach in Bagamoyo. Bagamoyo is a historical city and majority of the people are muslims. I prepared booklets to give out and searched where I would begin to do outreach. I started from the museum where they were alot of people there then made my way to town centre by foot as a great way of reaching out to people in the street and exploring more of the city. I  had a privelege to meet two beautiful French ladies and We had a chat and left them with a glow tracts. It is a comfort that people are willing to receive literature. God be praised. Let it be our prayer that, literature given will be read and people will come to know Jesus Christ our saviour and His soon coming.

Reflection from the museum: In the Museum I saw the chains that was used by the slave traders to chain the slaves, I would imagine how they felt when the slaves would be chained and controlled by their traders and no control of themselves. it must have been really awful and dreadful. Once upon a time, we were slave to sin when our first parents sinned when they ate of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil ( Gen 2:17) but God loves us so much that He sent His only son to die to us and free us from bondange of sin.

Romans 6:16-22New International Version (NIV)

16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
19 I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.

Praise be to God for setting us free from sin and let us be slave to righteousness which would result eternal life with our loving God in heaven. Amen.

God bless you & thank you for taking your time to read this article.
