The Lord's hand
When I was in second year in Coventry University. In april 2013, the university released exam timetable for end of year exam. To my surprise i had one exam on sabbath. I felt so nervous and i didnt know what to do. I went to present my prayer request to the prayer youth meeting in my local church in coventry. We prayed together and me and my friend Chantal went to university faculty. We made a request to change the date of the exam. Few days later we received an answer from the university declining our request because we were to fill up a religious form in January so as they may not place exams on sabbath but it was not made known that such form was available in the university. We went back to the prayer meeting and prayed more that God may solve the situation. I received a letter from my local church Pastor Lambert for more support. Me and Chantal went to meet with the head of my department of civil engineering. He told us of the options to choose from; one is to go to the exam room and write my name then leave that option may entitle me to resit an exam. I replied to him saying, If i go the exam room on sabbath it means i am still breaking the sabbath commandment so he presented another option that was to repeat the whole subject for the following year and pay for that particular subject £2300. I could not afford to pay it because my parents couldn't understand me when i could tell them that I can not do an exam on sabbath because they are not sabbath keepers and they would like me to associate myself with SDA faith thats another story to tell. I wont be able to choose any of the options I told the head of department. He suggested that i should appeal again. I did so. After few days. I received an email from the university that I can do the exam when others will be resetting for that same exam few months later and i don't have to do anything for be eligible for that. I praise God for He stood up for me when I stood up for him. I thank God for the answered prayers from my local church in coventry and my supportive friends Chantal, Patricia and many others. I urge to the students who are in the university, school or even workers to put God first no matter the situation and He will always provide a way for each temptation or difficult circumstances (1 Corinthians 10:12-13.) Finally brethren; Be strong in the Lord.

A miracle day.
What a sabbath Morning of the 4th April 2015. The weather was calm, rain had stopped , I woke up not feeling like going to my usual church because Its far and taking a public transport in Dar es Salaam is not too good and the near by church in Mbezi Salasala, were having a choir day and I was tempted to go but the Holy spirit was talking to me that I should go to my usual Church in Mikocheni B. I got ready and when I was ready to go to church and there was a repair man who came to repair our fridge ( P.s My family are not SDA). He was going to the direction where the church was and he was able to give me a lift. The journey was quick and comfortable.
After Sabbath school, the superintendent was asking the church to contribute for next sabbath which will be visitor's day. I prayed to God that i would contribute something small because i knew i didn't have much money and due to public holiday I wont go to work until Wednesday. As item were mentioned that needs to be brought during the week, the superintendent appointed me to bring 15 litres of cooking oil. I was in shock. How will i get the money to buy 15 litres of cooking oil. I accepted to do bring the money equivalent that's 60,000/= tsh to buy the cooking oil. I prayed God you need to provide that money. After divine service, I opened whatsapp messages and I found a message saying, some money has been deposited on my account. Praise be to God for he provides and He is a faithful God. God was testing my faith if I would trust him to provide for his work.
Due to my situation, I don't go back home for lunch but I stay at church. One of the brothers at church offered some youths to buy lunch on sabbath. It is sin to buy or sell on sabbath day ( Nehemiah 10:31) . I returned the offer. I was hungry and I wanted to go back home early. But the Spirit spoke to me and told me to stay at church for a little longer. The afternoon program was about '' God's will'' a very interesting topic on how God allow things to happen for his glory. A good example would be of Job, when he lost all he had and then later He got everything back or even more things, Satan was permitted by God to test Job's faith ( Job 1:7-12). When we pray, sometimes God doesn't answer our requests because He knows the future and He knows what would happen if we get the request we pray for. Due to the situation I am facing, I have been praying to God to help me and answer my prayers but I would see him answering small prayers like, when I get on a bus going home, I pray to get a seat and God answers such prayers but when I pray for something bigger, He is quite. And from the afternoon program I learnt to fully submit to God's will even though my will might be different. Its is hard to be honest and God is always there for us to help us and guide us.
The afternoon program finished quite late and i was worried how will i get home quicker. God performed another miracle and I was offered a lift back home. Praise be to God. What a blessed sabbath day

A visit to the other side..
Just beyond a non glassy sea of Indian Ocean from Dar es salaam is a beautiful Island called Zanzibar. Zanzibar is one of the best touristic attraction in Tanzania, very historic and more than 99 percent of Zanzibar's population are Muslim. A friend of mine and I planned to go to Zanzibar two days before the journey. The purpose was to evangelize and give out literature. We weren’t sure how much was the fare but as we booked the tickets on the day of travel, we just had the exact fare for the journey but the money for the fare i wanted to use it few days back but God knew I would need it to do His work so He told me not to use it. As we left the booking office I knew God had planned this trip. 'As-salamu alaykum' is a first greeting we heard in our ears as me and my friend Farida boarded a ferry to Zanzibar on a Wednesday Morning of 1st of April 2015. The journey was about one and half hour long. God opened the first opportunity inside the boat. There was a Tanzanian man who sat besides us and as we talked to him and got to know him better we were able to evangelize to him.
Dressed as the native of the island, it gave us a room to be just like them and it gave them comfortability to talk to us. The idea of dressing came from watching a testimony from Esmie Branner "Beyond the Veil of Darkness" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlaXoFqm_nI. A very moving and powerful testimony on how to stay faithful to God and the greatness and the goodness of the God we serve. The first place we entered was the central museum and there was a lot informations about historic events that happened in the past. One of them was how Britain played a big role on abolishing Arab slave trade in the 19th century and helped to fight for independence in 1964. As I grew up i never knew this and took the freedom i have for granted while our fathers struggled and were enslaved. Relating this to our spiritual lives, when our first parents Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden tree, we became slaves of satan but Jesus came to die for us and to free us from the great deceiver’s bondage (Romans 6:18 : You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness, verse 22; But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life).
We didn’t leave the people in the museum empty handed. We gave them some leaflets that were filled with good news about Jesus and the gospel. As we passed one of the streets, there were men sitting in the corridor, they were observing us from a distance, when we got closer to them, they asked us what we were giving out. We gave them the leaflets and left hastily because it’s wasn’t safe giving out Christian materials in an Islamic area but also dressed like Muslim’s. God being our leader, He guided us from one street to another and one shop to another, giving out literature. Praise be to God. Brethen lets continue to labour with Christ and spread the good news that Jesus is coming very soon. '' Go to all nations, He bade them. Go to the farthest part of the habitable globe and be assured that My presence will be with you even there. Labor in faith and confidence; for the time will never come when I will forsake you. I will be with you always, helping you to perform your duty, guiding, comforting, sanctifying, sustaining you, giving you success in speaking words that shall draw the attention of others to heaven. '' AA 29.1 Lets pray for those who we reached out that The Holy Spirit may trouble their hearts to read the literature and come to know our loving saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
